Later Life Ambitions highlights priorities for a more secure retirement.
As part of Pensions Awareness Week, Later Life Ambitions (LLA) is highlighting its Budget for Later Life, setting out eight key priorities aimed at improving the lives of people in retirement and those approaching later life.
NARPO is proud to be part of Later Life Ambitions, working alongside Civil Service Pensioners’ Alliance (CSPA) and The National Federation of Occupational Pensioners (NFOP) to represent the interests of more than 250,000 older people. Together, we are calling for action to help create a more secure, independent and dignified future for pensioners.
The Budget for Later Life calls for:
- Protecting the State Pension
- Reducing the tax burden on pensions
- Tackling the gender pension gap
- Establishing a minimum income guarantee
- Improving employment opportunities, public transport, housing, health and social care
These proposals are intended to strengthen financial security, promote independence and support the wellbeing of older people across the UK.
We encourage members to read the full Budget for Later Life to learn more about the recommendations and the changes being proposed.
