Police Relationship Consultant – TTC Group (thettcgroup.com)
As the leading provider of road safety training and driver risk management we have an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working in a UK Police force at a senior level to join our Management Team on a consultancy basis (outside IR35) to provide leadership and governance within our contract areas in the south of England for Police and Court referred programmes of the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) which we deliver virtually (over Zoom) and in classroom to over 750,000 drivers every year.
You will be responsible for cultivating trusted relationships with key stakeholders within each Force and supporting our Head of Police during contract review meetings by ensuring compliance with our contract terms and high service delivery standards through our course venues, syllabus delivery and efficient delegate capacity by working closely with our internal Quality Assurance processes, Trainer Services department and operational teams to ensure TTC remain compliant, deliver exceptional service and stays innovative and ahead of future developments.
You will provide expertise in areas such as policing, diversity, equality and inclusion, OOC interventions and other local/national initiatives such as Welsh language promotion. You will also attend meetings with third parties such as Vision Zero partnerships, Youth Justice Teams and OPCCs to proactively promote our services and integrate TTC into regional road safety strategies, thereby expanding contracts and business opportunities and enhancing the company’s profile.
The ideal candidate will:
- Work with the Head of Police to provide governance measures that will support TTC’s commitments in line with external stakeholder’s expectations and contractual obligations.
- Be focused on developing and managing relationships with key partners to enhance business growth, product offerings and customer satisfaction through collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Support in setting the policy and process for compliance with both the UKROEd provider and trainer licencing requirements and to work with the Trainer Services Manager to ensure adherence to the policy and process.
- Support TTC with sourcing suitable, UKROEd compliant venues and ensure risk assessments are undertaken and reviewed.
- Feedback on capacity requirements to meet demand across all schemes.
- Help with the delivery of the contract, ensuring we exceed the customer’s expectations
- Identify and develop business growth opportunities
- Attend Contract Review meetings with the respective Police forces, having prepared feedback around all regional matters
- Establish and maintain positive, productive relationships with the respective Police forces
- Provide expertise to colleagues within TTC to ensure smooth roll-out of any process/initiative changes planned
- Attend regular meetings with internal stakeholders and external representatives as appropriate
- Investigate and finalise all complaints from police and other partnerships courses/contracts. Identifying and promoting organisational learning.
- Provide feedback to the Trainer Services Manager and team.
- Liaising with TTC operations to ensure an efficient cost model, in line with current TTC guidelines
- Monitor venue standards in line with UKROEd guidance and Health & Safety requirements, liaising with TTC administration team
- Maintain working relationship with venue management
- Lead on any thematic initiative as may be required e.g. Young Driver, Diversity & Inclusion, Welsh Language, Vision Zero, Out of Court Disposals or any other value add requirements.
- Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication is maintained.
You will also need to either hold (or be prepared to undertake):
- A full UK Drivers Licence with access to a vehicle as this role will require travel within certain Force areas
- An annual, enhanced DBS check or Non-Police Personnel Vetting
- Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance
- A qualification in Quality Assurance (desirable)
- A qualification in Teaching, Training or Education (desirable)

This role is on a consultancy/freelance basis outside of IR35, likely requiring 2/3 days a week, albeit with the flexibility to manage your own diary at a time and frequency to fit you. One-stage, virtual interviews are planned to take place throughout July with our Head of Police and Service Delivery Director, with start dates as soon as possible after.
