Position: Casual Driver (Self-employed position)
Hours: Flexible (40-90 per month depending on meetings)
Salary: £12ph – Reviewed annual in line with the real living wage
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for driving directors and members of staff to client meetings across the country. With a client base that stretches the length and breadth of the country we use drivers so that out directors have as little down time as possible and can continue working, knowing that they will arrive on time with a responsible driver taking care of the stress of navigating.
Responsibilities:
- **Safe Transportation:** Safely operate company vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic rules and regulations.
- **Vehicle Maintenance:** Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
- **Route Planning:** Plan efficient routes to reach destinations on time, considering factors such as traffic and weather conditions.
- **Customer Service:** Provide excellent customer service to passengers or clients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience during transportation.
- **Loading and Unloading:** Assist with the loading and unloading of goods or materials, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
- **Communication:** Effectively communicate to coordinate schedules and address any issues that may arise.
- **Adherence to Policies:** Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and guidelines.
- **Flexibility:** Be available for flexible work hours, including evenings and early mornings, based on the company’s needs.
- **Adaptability:** Handle unexpected situations or changes in schedule with flexibility and professionalism.
Qualifications:
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
– Previous experience as a driver is preferred.
– Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy items, if required.
– Punctuality and reliability are crucial for this role.
