Production company Red Sauce, who make the show ‘Special Ops: Crime Squad UK’ are currently looking for recently retired police officers who may be happy to be featured in our documentary to discuss any major crime investigations they have been involved in. The show is a documentary series looking at the work of the super-specialist, elite police teams across the UK that are assembled to make a breakthrough in investigations. The stories are told first hand from a police perspective, giving insight into how they came to crack the case. Red Sauce are looking for cases that have happened fairly recently, where the involved officers are either aware of or have access to supporting audio/visual evidential materials that will help to tell the story to an audience.
The first and second series aired last year on both Dave and UKTV, and after being extremely well received, a third series has now been commissioned. Ranking shows by their highest-rating episode, Special Ops was Dave’s 2nd highest-rating weekend title of 2022 (7-day consolidated) and, across 98 total TXs of the show on Dave to date, Special Ops has reached 5.8m individuals, and 636k 16-34s (1+, 3+min)
