NARPO is pleased to support the research project, outlined below:
Dear Participant,
I am undertaking a postgraduate dissertation in Forensic Psychology at Buckinghamshire New University. The study explores police officers’ mental health knowledge, preparedness, confidence, and perceptions of effectiveness when responding to mental health crisis situations.
If you are a former UK police officer aged 18 or over, I would be very grateful if you could spare 10-15 minutes to complete an anonymous online questionnaire.
All participation is entirely voluntary. The questionnaire asks about your policing experience, any mental health-training you have received, and your views on responding to mental health crisis incidents. This includes being asked to respond to a series of statements indicating how you much you agree or disagree with each statement on a five-point scale ranging from strongly disagree or strongly agree. You will not be asked to provide identifiable information.
Please read the Participant Information Sheet before you decide whether to take part by following this link to the study: https://research.sc/participant/login/dynamic/D5029670-1873-4E99-87F6-D84D81D2B1D0
The study has been approved by the Psychology Research Ethics Committee at Buckinghamshire New University.
If you need any further information, please email me on 22332605@bucks.ac.uk.
Thank you very much for your time.
Kind regards,
Amnah Khan
