Clear, sensitive an accurate Information and Support can make all the difference to a person’s end of life experience. Marie Curie’s Information and Support service is here for anyone who needs it, whether they’re approaching the end of life or caring for someone who is. We’re also here to support people through bereavement. 

 

 

The Bereavement Service offers callers up to six sessions with the same specially trained volunteer, and is aimed at people going through a bereavement who want ongoing support. mariecurie.org.uk/bereavement 

The Check-in and Chat service provides emotional support if someone needs to talk/. Here, callers receive up to 12 sessions with the same specially trained volunteer and it’s for anyone affected by terminal illness and wants ongoing support.

Online and printed information

Our website has practical information for anyone approaching the end of line, the people caring for them, including their family and friends. These pages cover a wife range of topics, from symptom management and financial and legal matters through to emotional support. We also provide free printed information that can be ordered over the phone, by email or online. mariecurie.org.uk/support

Our website is also home to the Palliative Care Knowledge Zonean online information platform for health and social care professionals to help you deliver the best possible care for people living with terminal illness.
