Our friends at Marie Curie have set up a three year partnership with Gas Distribution Networks, to help provide even more support for people at end of life, including those with a terminal illness and those who are bereaved and are experiencing fuel poverty or concerns about their energy usage. A key benefit is that the project will fund and employ two new Energy Support Officers within the I&S team. Their role will provide more in-depth information to people that contact the Support Line with guidance on the support available to them, including grants and benefits, to help through the energy crisis and the increasing cost of living.
Together they have also have created a new I&S resource booklet which will provide information to help people with concerns about energy bills, including benefits and payments that people may be entitled to, the Priority Services Register, and how Marie Curie can help.
