Welcome to NARPO Wiltshire
About Wiltshire Branch
Wiltshire Branch is managed by a strong and active elected Committee, currently representing the interests of over 1,000 members, most of whom are former members of the Wiltshire Constabulary (now known as Wiltshire Police). We also have a significant number of members who retired from other Police Forces and are now living in our area.
We take the welfare of our members very seriously and have our own Welfare Co-ordinator, a former Police Welfare Officer, with a team of trained volunteers through whom we offer support to members in need. We also have an appointed Trustee on the Force Benevolent Fund through whom support and assistance is given to members needing to make applications.
Further Key Information
In addition to the quarterly NARPO News magazine, our Branch members receive a quarterly Branch Newsletter by email or post, and those with internet access can opt to receive news by e-mail as soon as it becomes available. We also have our own Branch Web Site – www.narpo-wilts.org.uk.
Our programme of social events provides an excellent opportunity for members to keep in touch with former colleagues, and includes an Annual General Meeting and Lunch in the Spring, Branch lunches, a free Widows’/Widowers’ Lunch, theatre & concert trips, day trips to places and events of interest, group holidays, a quiz evening with proceeds to local and police charities, annual BBQ, and social evenings.
