Welcome to NARPO North Devon
About North Devon Branch
The North Devon branch is a well established group in one of the loveliest parts of the country. It meets on the second Wednesday of each month and provides friendship and support to retired officers and their spouses who have either served locally or moved to the area on retirement.
The Branch’s objectives, through regular meetings and communications are to provide for members:
- the opportunity to continue, re-establish friendships with ex-colleagues or to develop new ones, particularly if new to North Devon;
- monthly meetings and excursions to enjoy the camaraderie of other members;
- welfare support to all its members;
- up to date information affecting their retirement.

Information
The current committe in North Devon consists of:
Chairman Jim Parrott; Treasurer Chris Northrop; Secretary & Social Secretary Mike Bevan; Welfare officer Jim Maxwell; Vice Chair Richard Harris; Web Officer John Blake.
The Branch holds a coffee morning on the second Wednesday of each month at the Hunters Inn at Newton Tracey where coffee and cakes are provided. These monthly meetings provide an ideal opportunity to catch up with old colleagues & also to hear about forthcoming events.
These monthly meetings are supplemented by excursions to places of interest within easy reach for a day out, an excellent Christmas dinner and visits to neighbouring branches’ meetings. Many of these events are subsidised.
