A warm welcome to Bury & District Branch of NARPO

Bury & District Branch NARPO (GMP)

Bury and District Branch is based in Lancashire/Greater Manchester (the argument still rumbles on) and includes the six towns of Bury, Prestwich, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Tottington and Whitefield all of which are policed by Greater Manchester Police.

The branch, which was originally formed in 1926, was temporarily suspended during the Second World War but reformed in 1949 and presently has 499 members.

Bury NARPO has an enthusiastic committee. Trips have previously been arranged to Ripon Races, Southport Flower Show and the National Arboretum; with continental trips to Normandy, Ypres and Arnhem also taking place.

Members and their partners also meet socially at the many breakfast mornings, afternoon teas, Lunch Club events and social evenings and at the annual Summer or Christmas Lunches. For an up to date list of forthcoming social events please check out the events list below or vist our Facebook page. *Pictured: Police Memorial, National Arboretum  © Bury NARPO
