Post Title: Head of Security, Welsh Parliament
Salary: £73, 350 – £85, 779 (Executive Band 1 G6)
Please note, the starting salary will normally be offered at the minimum of the band.
Location: Senedd, Tŷ Hywel, Cardiff Bay
This role is primarily based in Tŷ Hywel, Cardiff Bay, (usually 4 days per week) due to the nature of the role, and to support business needs. Around this requirement there will be opportunities for working remotely.

Are you ready to take on a thrilling challenge and lead the security operations at the heart of Welsh democracy? The Welsh Parliament (Senedd) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Security to join the team.
This pivotal role involves the leadership and direction of approximately 70 security professionals across the Commission Estate, which includes the Tŷ Hywel office building, Senedd, and Pierhead, as well as a Security service that supports the work of Members of the Senedd across Wales.
We are looking for an individual with proven experience in a senior security role, preferably within a high profile or high security environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Additionally, excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
