Security Manager, Luxury Retail, Birmingham
About Us:
We are a luxury retail company based in central Birmingham, known for our efficient processing and dispatching of goods. To ensure the continued safety and security of our operations, assets, and staff, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our team.
The Role:
As our Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, managing all aspects of physical security, and overseeing the company’s risk management and mitigation practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring our day-to-day operations are secure against threats, and that our assets and staff are protected.
Responsibilities:
- Constantly review, develop, and ensure implementation of the existing comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Manage and coordinate security operations and activities to ensure protection of employees and company assets.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits, recommending process and procedure updates and improvements to ensure we keep ahead of emerging risks.
- Liaise with law enforcement and other external security agencies as necessary.
- Responsible for the suitability and monitoring of security systems and equipment.
- Responsible for the security awareness and security training to all staff.
- Able to respond appropriately and manage security incidents and emergencies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in security management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and physical security best practices.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experienced in the development and implementation of security protocols.
- Exceptional levels of integrity and comfortable with a high level of autonomy in the role.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.

- This role is office-based (central Birmingham).
- With the role’s emphasis on experience and leadership, it may be particularly well-suited to individuals with a background in police or security services, looking to apply their skills in a dynamic new environment.
