Introduction
NARPO has a partnership with Disability Rights UK (DR UK), whereby all NARPO branches are organisational DRUK members.
Branches
NARPO Branches enjoy a number of benefits of DRUK membership. These include a complimentary copy of the Disability Rights UK handbook, widely acknowledged as the ‘benefits bible’, and its regular ‘Updater’ newsletter.
NARPO Branches, through their Branch secretaries, will also have access to DRUK’s Members Only Welfare Rights Helpline.
This partnership is another valuable resource that Branches will have at their disposal, particularly when dealing with any disability related welfare matters that are of concern to members and is another extremely useful source of advice for any disability issues.
The main benefits of Disability Rights UK membership are below:
- Via your Branch Secretary, access to our members only Welfare Rights Helpline – a vital point of reference to help deal with complex cases.
- Additional access to our Personal Budgets & Independent Living Helpline, covering many areas of social care.
- A complimentary copy of The Disability Rights UK Handbook and the opportunity to purchase further copies at a discounted rate.
- Receipt of the Disability Rights Handbook Updater, alerting you to benefits changes and legal updates, ensuring your Handbook is always up to date.
- Receipt of Disability Rights Bulletin, our bi-monthly newsletter, containing the latest welfare benefits and independent living news, updates on our projects, Q&As from our helplines, and details of DR UK events and special offers from our shop. View Sample Bulletin.
- A discount on Disability Rights UK’s range of training courses, including those on welfare benefits, disability confidence etc.
- The ability to use our factsheets on your own internet or intranet site, to ensure those on whose behalf you work get the best possible service from you.
