Retired Officer Wellbeing Programme (ROWP)
This seven day residential programme is available to retired police officers who have received a formal diagnosis of mild or moderate anxiety and depression.
Patients will spend Monday to Friday participating in group workshops and activities, with the option of low-impact exercise classes (e.g., tai chi and yoga). They will also have the opportunity to access advice from our fitness team.
The weekend will be spent relaxing and reflecting in the safe and supportive environment provided by our Centres.
Please note that the Retired Officer Wellbeing Programme runs on set dates throughout the year.
Eligibility
To apply to access our treatment programmes you must either be serving police workforce (police officer or police staff), or a retired officer and must be donating to the Charity.
Retired officers must have spent the majority of their police service (20 years) in one of the Police Treatment Centres constituent forces – please see the PTC website for more details – or since retiring have relocated to one of The Police Treatment Centres constituent force areas.
The Charity’s provision is intended to be by way of short intensive treatment with the aim of helping the individual to make progress in resolving, or alleviating a treatable condition. Applications for admission must be supported by evidence of a clinical need that can be addressed by the Clinical Teams at the PTCs with an achievable positive, measurable clinical outcome.
As a retired police officer your monthly donation is just £4.50 per month. Once you have been donating for 12 months you can apply to access our one week residential programmes or online treatment programmes.
