Child Safety Media (CSM) is the leading provider of child safety events in the UK.

We deliver ‘Crucial Crew’/ ’Junior Citizen’ events to thousands of children and young people, covering topics such as personal safety, fire and home safety, first aid, crime, drugs and alcohol, bullying, Internet safety and anti-social behaviour.

We are looking to recruit a Partnerships and Events Manager with the necessary experience and communication skills to maintain and develop the organisation, secure funding and deliver a number of events nationally, managing strategic relationships with partner agencies to the benefit of our stakeholders.  This position would ideally suit someone with an Emergency Service or community safety background but may also be suitable for an experienced general manager.

Salary:                                              c£35,000

The Role and the Opportunity

As Partnerships and Events Manager, you will play a critical role in continuing the Company’s success, working to the highest professional standards and significantly contributing to the delivery and development of our events programme.  This is a great opportunity, enabling you to make your mark on existing and new projects, which equip children with essential life skills.

Your success will enable the organisation to continue to protect and empower young people.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct oneself as an ambassador for the Company – attending events, developing relevant contacts and making presentations to existing and potential stakeholders.
  2. Ensure the highest quality of stakeholder servicing through effective relationship development, keeping all informed and interested in the work and achievement of the organisation.
  3. Co-ordination of all practical aspects of numerous child safety events, including the:
  1. Agree target for number of children attending each event that you are managing and review the administration team’s output against these targets.
  2. Obtain subsidy funding to ensure profitability of each event, maximising whenever possible to include funding for additional educational resources (agreeing personalisation of resources with sponsor(s) and organising subsequent print/production/delivery processes).
  3. Produce timely Evaluation Reports for events, obtaining full feedback from schools on their experience, and share with all stakeholders.
  4. Build on the Company’s existing events calendar, identifying new areas and sources of income.
  5. Promote the services and products provided by Child Safety Media, as required.
  6. To carry out any other tasks and duties reasonably requested by the Directors of Child Safety Media.
